The Downtown Business Association
is the Village's downtown area, roughly bordered by Arlington Heights
Road on the west, Eastman on the north, Sigwalt on the south and Highland on
the west. The Downtown Business Association is the home of a unique, vibrant shopping and

Our Downtown Business Association is emerging as an energetic business
community within a community. Since the 1990s the Village has worked in
redeveloping the Downtown Business Association into a unique shopping and business district that has
its own appeal and identity. This distinctive downtown area of quaint
shops, brick pavers, free on-street parking, and charming street lights and
park benches has created a special ambiance that attracts many shoppers and
visitors. In the Year 2000 the Downtown Business Association became the new home of such
mixed-use developments as the Metropolis Theatre complex, a new commuter
train station, Village Green and Arlington Town Square. Explore the many

additional 593 residential units, 162,000 square feet of retail space, and
