Welcome To The Human Services Directory
The Village of Arlington Heights Health Department is pleased to present its Fifth Edition of the Human Services Directory. The purpose of this directory is to provide information about human care and social service agencies that provide services to Arlington Heights residents. It is not our intent for the directory to be all encompassing, but simply, to direct individuals and families to organizations where they might receive additional information, helpful referrals and needed assistance.
The impetus for the directory came from the Village of Arlington Heights Human Services Summit, held November 19, 1999. That day, one common theme continued to surface: the importance of informing residents of what is available to them. The purpose of this directory is to address that need.
The directory contains several components, or sections. The two primary sections of the directory are an alphabetical listing of service providers and a listing by service categories. Additional sections are: Special Services Available to Arlington Heights Residents, Hotlines/Quick References, and Clinics/Physicals. The back section includes a listing of Social Services Directories and Information Sources at a glance.
