Hydrant Meter Rental Program
The Village of Arlington Heights has an inventory of 35 water hydrant style meters available for rent.
Whether you’re a contractor building a residential subdivision or a homeowner filling a pool these meters are available to you. Meters are available in sizes ranging from 3/4'” to a full 3" inches in diameter. The Village offers two plans to accommodate both short and long term rentals use (up to one year). The rental fee is $20.00 per month regardless of size plus the cost of water. As of May 1, 2012, the current rate of water is $5.05 per thousand gallons. A refundable meter deposit of $500 to $1000 based on size is required for both short and long term rentals. Please call the Public Works Department 24 hours in advance to check meter availability and to schedule a time to pick up a meter.
