Senior Center Advisory Council

The purpose of the Arlington Heights Senior Center Advisory Council is to advise the Senior Center Manager on programs and events that promote the growth and success of the Arlington Heights Senior Center.


Who is the Advisory Council?

The Advisory Council is composed of up to sixteen (16) members who are or have been participants in Arlington Heights Senior Center programs or
services. The members serve for a term of one year, starting on the first day in May. Meetings are held at 9:00 AM on the first Tuesday of every other month starting in January.

How does the Advisory Council help us?

Council members participate in or support activities and/or events held at the Senior Center throughout the year.

  • Give tours of the Senior Center
  • Sponsor summer patio events, holiday dinner, newcomers coffees and other special events
  • Serve as spokespersons at Senior Center events
  • Respond to suggestion box comments
  • Comparison of our Senior Center to other Senior Center programs
  • The Annual Report
