Liquor Licensing Process
The Mayor serves as Arlington Heights’ Liquor Commissioner and has the authority to issue, as well as suspend or revoke, liquor licenses.
An application for a liquor license can be obtained through the Village Manager’s Office. Processing of Liquor License Applications typically takes 6-10 weeks. This timeframe includes having background checks completed, having completed packet information and meeting with the Village Board.
The established fees vary depending upon the type of liquor license requested. Please review Chapter 13 of the Village Code, “Alcoholic Liquor Dealers” for further information.
Liquor Licenses are valid for one year beginning May 1 and expiring on April 30 and are non-transferable.
