The Arlington Heights Police Department's enforcement activities relating to IDOT’s Independence Day (4th of July) campaign will run from Friday, June 22, 2012 through Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement activities will include numerous Roving Saturation Patrols, which will be conducted at various locations throughout the Village. Additionally, Roadside Safety Checks will be conducted during the campaign. A Safety Check will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Arlington Heights Road near Interstate 90. All activities will occur after 11p.m.

Enforcement efforts will include identifying and citing motorists who choose to drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, without using safety belts, and who commit other traffic offenses including but not limited to equipment, registration, driver’s license, and insurance violations.
