Celebrate the Fourth -- Arlington Heights' Style!
July 2, 2012
Everyone looks forward to celebrating Independence Day, Arlington Heights’ style! The Festival, July 4-8 at Recreation Park along with the annual spectacular fireworks show held at Arlington Park Racetrack at dusk on July 4.
Frontier Days is held at Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner, and is organized by a not-for-profit organization whose membership is comprised of hundreds of volunteers.
For over 35 years this dedicated group of volunteers has planned all details of The Festival, from music and food, to the parade and Stampede. You haven’t discovered what Arlington Heights is all about until you have attended The Festival.
The celebration kicks off with the July 4th Parade, 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. The parade steps off at Oakton and Dunton and travels south on Dunton to Miner, east on Miner to Recreation Park. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Arlington Heights – 125 years.” Please refrain from “saving a space” along the parkways of the parade route until 7 p.m., July 3.
