Integrated Services Department includes the Village Manager, Assistant Village Manager, the Village Manager’s Office administrative staff, Communications & Community Outreach, the Legal Division, and the Information Technology & Geographical Information Divisions.   The Assistant Village Manager oversees the functions of Communications & Community Outreach, Village Manager's Office, Legal, and IT. The focus of Integrated Services is to optimize interdepartmental processes and to assess the effectiveness of Village processes by using strategic and organization-wide thinking.

Various services of the I.S.D. include leveraging technology to optimize Village operations, improve customer service and enhance citizen engagement; delivering Village information to the public using in the website, newspapers, social media, and other technologies as they grow in popularity; instilling a Village-wide spirit of continuous improvement and providing a positive customer service experience while delivering efficient and effective services.

Village Manager

Randy Recklaus is the Arlington Heights Village Manager and he was appointed to the position by the Village Board. As part of the council-manager form of government the Village operates under, the Manager's role is to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Village.

The Village Manager is a bridge between the Village Board and the operational departments, ensuring that the Board has the information and context it needs to make decisions and set priorities. The Manager's other key role is giving direction to departments and coordinating resources needed to carry out the Board's decisions.

Administrative Support & Special Projects
Coordination of interdepartmental initiatives, processing requests and feedback received from residents and businesses, and preparation of weekly informational Board packets.

Liquor Licenses
Administration of liquor licenses, monitoring liquor law changes and trends, and suggesting municipal code changes.

Downtown Public Parking Program
Evaluating special requests about parking, signage, policies and establishing rules and regulations.

Meeting Room Scheduling
Coordination of the users of public meeting space in the Village Hall including conference room set-up and assistance with audio/visual equipment.

Customer Service Enhancement Initiative
Provide internal leadership regarding the conveyance of excellent customer service.
