Host a Community Event

Are you looking to host a community event in the Village of Arlington Heights? Please fill out one of the below forms that best describes your event. Filling out the correct form (Block Party vs. Community Event) is the first step in the event approval process, for new and recurring events.

  • Block Party Request Form
For neighborhood/block party events. These events are managed by Public Works.

  • Community Event Form
For events that are open to the general public, including but not limited to: walks/runs, carnivals, concerts, festivals, etc. Submitted forms will be considered by the Village's internal community events team, which includes members from all Village departments. Staff will then be in contact with the event host. Additional permits will be organized with event host including tent permits (larger than 10x10 tents), generators, temporary food permits, potential structure inspections, and additional items to be addressed. For more information on submitting the Community Events Form, click here for the Special Event Permit Guide for Community Events.

If it is determined as necessary, an in-person meeting will be scheduled. If your event includes alcohol, a separate temporary event alcohol permit will be required.
