Fire Safety

Fire Safety Division of the Building & Life Safety Department

Fire prevention responsibilities fall under the Fire Safety Division of the Building & Life Safety Department. Fire and Life Safety plan reviews are conducted internally, while inspections are carried out by full-time fire safety inspectors under the supervision of the Assistant Building Official. The primary objective is to reduce both the frequency and severity of fires and associated hazards within the community. The Division believes achieving this goal necessitates an active fire code enforcement program, comprehensive fire safety plan reviews, and cooperation from the community.

The Division is dedicated to delivering these essential services through a team of well-trained and highly motivated personnel who recognize the significance of both customer service and fire safety. Their unwavering commitment is to uphold a safe environment in Arlington Heights for all residents, businesses, patrons, and the wider community.
