Determining Your New Customer and Account Numbers: Using Your Old Account Number
You can also use your old water bill to generate your new account number and customer number by following these directions:

  • Locate your old Account Number on your OLD bill, prior to January 2024.
    • Your old account number is a set of two numbers, separated by a dash. For example: 11111-22222. (The amount of numbers in each section may be anywhere from 3 to 6 numbers, and may look like 111-222, 1111-2222, 11111-22222.)
    • Your old account number will be used to identify your NEW Customer Number and your NEW Account Number, as described below.
  • New Customer Number:
    • Locate the first half of your old Account Number. This will be used to identify your new Customer Number. The new Customer Number must be 7 digits long. Add a 1, 10, 100, or 1000 to the first half of your old account number, until it is 7 digits long, and this is your new Customer Number.
      • If your old account number is 111-222, your new Customer Number is 1000111
      • If your old account number is 1111-222, your new Customer Number is 1001111
      • If your old account number is 1111-2222, your new Customer Number is 1001111
  • New Account Number
    • Your new Account number is the second set of numbers, after the hyphen.
      • If your old account number is 111-222, your new account number is 222
      • If your old account number is 1111-2222, your new account number is 2222
      • If your old account number is 11111-22222, your new account number is 22222
