Posted on 11/02/2022

Arlington Heights Firefighters will be hosting a coat drive and participating in the Chicagoland Toys for Tots Toy Drive lasting from November 15 - December 15 to help keep our neighbors stay warm this winter. Local firefighters and school districts are teaming up to help local students and families. Arlington Heights Firefighters will be collecting new and gently used coats, as well as new/unopened toys, at all four fire stations listed below. This is the eleventh consecutive year the Arlington Heights Firefighters have hosted the coat drive and have collected over 5000 coats as well as countless toys.

According to the U.S. Census Data, health experts report even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, confusion, and loss of coordination. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget “extra.” So let's get those old coats out of the back of the closet and help keep our neighbors stay warm this winter!

Coats will be collected at the following locations:

  • Station 1 — 300 East Sigwalt Street, Arl. Hts., IL
  • Station 2 — 1150 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arl. Hts., IL
  • Station 3 — 2000 South Arlington Heights Road, Arl. Hts., IL
  • Station 4 — 3030 North Arlington Heights Road, Arl. Hts., IL
