Police Department Hosts Coloring Contest for Traffic Safety

Kids pre-K through 6th grade are invited to enter the Police Department’s Traffic Safety Coloring Contest featuring McGruff the crime dog for prizes.

Entrants are asked to submit their very own coloring rendition of McGruff for a chance to win prizes. The deadline for entries is December 18, 2019. Grand prize winner of each age category will receive a prize. Additional prizes will be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place.

Age Categories: Pre K-Grade 1 │ Grade 2- Grade 4 │ Grade 5- Grade 6

Rules:

The winners will be selected based upon creativity and originality. Children may use crayons, watercolors, pen and ink, markers, etc. to complete the drawing. Submissions will be judged by Arlington Heights Police Department Traffic Bureau personnel after the submission date. Winners’ artwork will be displayed at the Arlington Heights Police Department. Only one entry per child.

Copies of the Arlington Heights Police Department Traffic Bureau Coloring Contest sheets are available at Village Hall and at the Police Department. Completed submissions may be dropped off at the Arlington Heights Police Department. Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted. 

Winners will be notified by telephone. Submissions may be used for promotional purposes- entrants name will be redacted from submission in those circumstances. Please use official form when submitting artwork.
