4th of July at Frontier Days

Look forward to five days of summer fun at Frontier Days, Wednesday, July 3 - Sunday, July 7, held in Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner Street.

Bring your family, neighbors and friends to the event-filled Frontier Days Festival! Check out the Frontier Days event schedule to learn more about the carnival, food, drinks, activities and live entertainment planned throughout each day.

Dates & Times of Frontier Days
Wednesday, July 3: 5 p.m. – Midnight
Thursday, July 4: Noon – 11 p.m.
Friday, July 5: 5 p.m. – midnight
Saturday, July 6: noon - midnight
Sunday, July 7 noon – 10 p.m.

July 4th Parade
10 a.m., Thursday, July 4. The parade theme is “Hats off to America!” The parade route is Oakton at Dunton to Miner to Recreation Park where the Festival is located.

Please refrain from reserving a seat along the parkways of the parade route until after 7 p.m., July 3.

Stampede Run
Frontier Days Stampede: Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 a.m.! Choose from a 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Walk, Wheelchair 5K or 10K and a 1/4 Mile Kids Dash!

Wednesday July 3, 8 p.m.
7th Heaven

Chicago’s very own is recognized as one of the biggest independent bands in the Midwest. Expect to hear some of their most requested original music long with many top hits from the 80’s up to today. Don’t miss this special night as 7th Heaven is an experience you have to see!

Thursday July 4, 8 p.m.
Scott Stapp of Creed

Scott Stapp is a founding member and lead vocalist of the band Creed. Creed is recognized by many as one of the major acts of the post-grunge movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their debut album “My Own Poison” in 1997 led to selling over 6 million copies and four singles were released from the album.

Friday July 5, 8 p.m.

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary, War originated in Long Beach, California and is best known for several huge hit songs including “Slippin’ Into Darkness”, "Spill the Wine", "The World Is a Ghetto", "The Cisco Kid", "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider”, “All Day Music”, “Gypsy Man”, and “Summer”. War is a musical crossover band that fuses elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, and reggae.

Saturday, July 6, 8 p.m.
Brett Michaels

A rock icon as vocalist of the glam metal band Poison and as a solo artist, Bret sold over 40 million records worldwide including six Top 10 singles and a number-one single. Poison developed a devoted following who loved their pop-infused metal sound and glam rock looks.

Sunday, July 7, 7:30 p.m.
American English

American English - Journey back in time with American English as they recreate the early Beatles including classic favorites such as She Loves You, Twist and Shout & I Want to Hold Your Hand. The band captures the very essence of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
