Residents and business members are welcome to attend a virtual Community Listening Session regarding the Village’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiative scheduled for 7 p.m. on October 14th or 7 p.m. October 21st. The sessions will be led by the Kaleidoscope Group, a consulting firm hired by the Village to help assess diversity and inclusion in our community and gain a deeper understanding of individual perceptions and experiences about inclusivity and belonging in Arlington Heights.
The Village is committed to elevating and enhancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Arlington Heights. These sessions are important for gaining insights and learning more about improvements the Village can make to optimize a sense of belongingness, outreach, engagement and inclusiveness for all. The information the community provides will be combined with other data for the Kaleidoscope Group to provide insight-driven, sustainable, and customized solutions and recommendations that will help support an inclusive culture and safe environment for our community. To learn more about the Village's DEI initiative visit our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion website page.
To participate in one of the two virtual sessions on October 14th or 21st, please register online here: Each session will be limited to 30 participants. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Those who will be part of the session will receive an email from the Village’s consultant that will include a Zoom link to join a virtual Community Listening Session. These sessions will be facilitated by a member of the consulting team, and no Village representatives will be present. The Village will receive reports on the results of the session. Another Community Listening Session will be scheduled if needed, depending on community interest.

In addition to the Listening Sessions, a virtual Town Hall meeting, which will include representatives of the Village and other local governmental agencies, will be scheduled in December. More information on that meeting will be forthcoming.
We encourage participants to be candid and to share their thoughts and perspectives freely. Sharing your voice will help provide a clearer picture of what matters most and what may need improvement to ensure next steps have the greatest positive impact for us all. Thank you in advance for your participation and insights, which are valued and appreciated!
