Volunteer for Village Boards & Commissions

If you are a resident of Arlington Heights and have an interest in serving your local government, the Village of Arlington Heights is seeking to fill positions on its many Boards or Commissions. In particular, there is a need on the Housing Commission given its anticipated, upcoming workload.

The purpose of the Housing Commission is to promote adequate housing for all of the community’s people, to create and/or maintain sound viable neighborhoods, to meet the needs for housing by increasing the number of housing units for low-and-moderate income families and individuals, and to expand housing opportunities for all members of the community.

The Commission also constitutes the Fair Housing Review Board for the purpose of conducting hearings and investigating complaints regarding discrimination in the sale, rental, or financing of housing.

Having citizens and business owners involved and engaged in our community positively affects Arlington Heights. The Village Board is able to receive valuable input from our Boards and Commissions, which can help create improvements and positive changes for our community.

Please use our online application process to send a resume to the Mayor along with a letter of interest as to why you would be interested in serving on a commission. Not every Commission has a vacancy at any given time. However, we will keep your mate-rials on file and review them should a vacancy occur.
