Collection Schedule

Schedule for Groot Service
The Village is divided into 4 quadrants for collection. Refuse, recycling and landscape waste will all be collected on the same day.

Hours of Collection
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. All solid waste (refuse, recycling and landscape waste) must be at the curb for collection no later than 7 a.m. Groot will not return to collect items that were not at the curb at 7 a.m.

Service Days for each quadrant:

• Monday: North of Oakton St. & West of Arlington Heights Rd   
• Tuesday: South of Oakton St. & West of Arlington Heights Rd
• Thursday: North of Oakton St. & East of Arlington Heights Rd
• Friday: South of Oakton St. & East of Arlington Heights

Observed Holidays

• New Year's Day
• Labor Day
• Memorial Day
• Thanksgiving
• Independence Day
• Christmas Day

*If the holiday falls on a Saturday, pick up will stay the same.
*If the holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday will be an off day.
*If the holiday falls on a weekday, service will be delayed until the next day.

Service Interruption
If you will be on vacation for 30 days or more, please call Groot to interrupt your service before you leave. There will be no charge for service while you are gone if you have called prior to leaving. Call Groot at 1.800.244.1977.

Christmas Tree Recycling
Christmas trees will be collected on your solid waste collection day through the first and second weeks of January through. Landscape waste stickers are not necessary for Christmas trees. Plastic bags and all décor must be removed from trees.
